Who among us is without the need to feel the presence of the Living Christ in their life, to find a way to separate ourselves from this troubled world, to be alone with God in prayer and meditation?
“The Solid Rock” is a classic hymn written by Ruth C. Jones with a profound message:
In times like these you need a Savior
In times like these you need an anchor
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock.
This Rock is Jesus, Yes He’s the One
This Rock is Jesus, the only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
Searching through my files last week, I came across a powerful message I had saved not knowing the source. Recently, I found the source, in part, on Pinterest Quotes on the internet. Hear these words with a prayerful heart:
God wants you to move through this day with a quiet heart an inward assurance that He is in control, a peaceful certainty that your life is in His hands, a deep trust in His plan and purposes, and a thankful disposition toward all that He allows. He wants you to put your faith in Him, not in a timetable. He wants you to wait on Him and wait for Him. In His perfect way He will put everything together…see to every detail…arrange every circumstance…and order every step to bring to pass what He has for you.
Find a quiet place and reflect on this message. As James 4:8 says, “Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
In His Love,
