I am so ready to be back with my church family this week. Thanks once again for my sabbatical and the rest/restoration it provided.
One of my greatest struggles through the years is that of loneliness. Surprised? It is actually very common among ministers. That is why I am so looking forward to our next series that we will begin looking at on Wednesday nights beginning this week. The series is based on a book by Max Lucado—“You are Never Alone” and looks at the miracle stories in the Gospel of John for encouragement.
Here is part of what he says about it– “Each of us longs for Someone who will meet us in the midst of life’s messes. We want to believe in a living, loving, miracle-working God who won’t think twice about stepping into the thorny thickets of our world and lifting us out. We need only look to the miracles of Jesus as told in the Gospel of John to know this is true.”
Make this a new beginning and come join others who are growing closer to each other and to God. Wednesday night, I have come to learn, is a special experience. I am so ready to be back with family.
