A friend of mine wrote these words for this season of Lent. I hope they speak to you as they did me.
Beyond the cross is resurrection–and Easter is coming. The good news at the center of our faith is that God meets us in the wilderness and in the weight we carry.
The same God who walked with Israel in the desert, who sat at the table with the outcasts, and who carried the cross to Calvary is the God who walks with us now.
So this season, whatever you may be carrying, bring it with you on the journey. Bring your questions. Bring your burdens. Bring your hopes for healing. And as we walk together toward Easter, let us join together in praying for one another. May we discover again that the grace of God is strong enough to carry what we cannot.
