A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR

It is early Monday afternoon and I have just returned from a prayer time at the Raleigh Baptist Association.  In a circle we prayed for and over each other. The pastor beside me is exactly a month older and we are both smiling about the new decade we are about to enter. The next pastor just finished an interim and his successor sat beside him.

There were 3 ministerial students whose love for the Lord was obvious and probably made us old timers consider our spiritual vitality.

There was a pastor and his wife who left Ukraine along with their teenage children and are now embarking on ministering to exiled Ukranians in this area.   And there was a pastor about to go to Turkey on a mission trip and another about to start VBS in his church.  I asked that they pray for my wife Kathy who is ministering n Uganda and Kenya this coming two weeks.

The Kingdom is wide and varied and knows no limits.  We are a part of something much bigger than ourselves and it is good to be reminded with all the news of our broken world these days that in large and small places the Kingdom still goes forth.

May it be in your home, your neighborhood, your place of work.  May it be in the fullness of Crabtree Valley Baptist Church.  Our prayers do not go unheard.  Praise be to God.

Brave Journey, Bill
