I like investments that bring huge returns. I bet you do too. That’s why I’m investing a mere two hours this Saturday in order to allow huge returns to take place. I’m talking about the Valentine Bingo Youth Party this Saturday at the church from 10- 12 pm. I want to challenge/encourage/invite you to show up and make your presence count. What makes it even better is that it will actually be a lot of fun. But ultimately it is about showing the youth of our church that we care about them and want them to have all the benefits of ministry that our church can provide.
You’ve already shown your generosity by the significant amount you donated during our recent Crabtree Cafe. That allowed our youth to go on a weekend ski trip, an experience that for many of them was a first time experience and one they will remember the rest of their life.
The Valentine Bingo will go a long way toward supporting our youth to go to Passport Camp this summer where they will join with other church youth groups from all over the country to share in coming closer to Christ.
See how this matters? I think of those who invested in me when I was a teenager. Names come quickly to mind—Dale, Carl, Gene, Jaqueline, and others. I really can’t imagine or describe the difference they made in my spiritual journey at such an impressionable time. Wouldn’t it be something if the youth on Saturday saw all of us come out in force and leave no doubt that we are behind them 110%. They might add your name to their list one day.
So see you Saturday—we are going to have a blast….and we are going to make a difference in the lives of our youth.
