“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly, or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
I don’t know about you but I was blown away by how many boxes were prepared and offered for Operation Christmas Child. To think, every box will be opened by some child who may not have another gift this Christmas. The more you think about that, I would imagine the more a smile comes to your face and a joy to your heart. THAT’S WHAT GIVING DOES!!!
Ok, I have preached my two sermons on generosity. I have reminded you that yesterday (Tuesday) was GIVING TUESDAY! Why not make today GIVING WEDNESDAY? It is the time of year where we celebrate Thanksgiving. The heart of generosity is not that you give back but what you give forward. It is a time to end the church year strong financially, so we can continue the life changing ministries, fellowship, and love we share.
So be of good cheer, you have every opportunity to make a Kingdom difference. God loves a cheerful giver….and God loves you! So do I!!!
