The Youth Group has been meeting again for a few weeks now. We’re meeting on Mondays at 6:30. It is so great to see everyone! In August, we went on a youth retreat to Lake Gaston since Passport Camp was canceled due to the pandemic. At the retreat we had Bible study in the morning and in the afternoon we enjoyed boat rides, tubing, water skiing, and swimming. In the evenings we enjoyed Mrs. Cheryl’s good cooking and played some of our favorite games. It was great to spend some quality time together.
Before the pandemic, we were doing ‘Speed Friending’ with the adults at Bible study on Wednesday night. We are going to continue Speed Friending by writing letters to our church members. The goal of Speed Friending is to get to know each other better and to unite our church family during a time when it is easy to feel disconnected from our community. The youth group would love it if you wrote back to us and answered some questions about yourself so we can become pen pals! Expect to find letters from members of the youth group in your mailbox soon!
