Excitement has been building as we anticipate Greg Buchanan’s concert this coming Sunday, September 8, at 3pm in our church sanctuary. Greg is a world class harpist who has inspired audiences across the nation with his marvelous gift of music. He is a dedicated servant of God whose life testimony is inspiring and challenging. We encourage you to get on the telephone and call your neighbors, friends and family inviting them to take advantage of this rare opportunity. We hope that you will make this concert a priority in your schedule. We also encourage you to be generous as we receive a love offering to show Greg our appreciation for including us in his concert tour this year.
Good things continue to happen at Crabtree Valley Baptist Church. God is good and he is blessing us week by week. On Sunday, September 15, we will Ordain Keith Harris as a Deacon. Jocelyn Williams, wife of Rev. Lynnwood Williams will be guest speaker on Wednesday evening September 18 at 6:30pm and Dr. Roger Nix, who is retiring as Director of Missions of the Raleigh Baptist Association after 25 years of faithful leadership will fill the pulpit in my absence on Sunday, September 22. These are special days in the life of our church. Make them a priority in your schedule.
As I write to you on Sunday Evening, September 1, Hurricane Dorian is battering the Bahamas with winds in excess of 180mph and appears to be on track Northward toward the Carolinas. A major portion of the Eastern US Seacoast will most likely feel the fury of this storm. Let us pray for God’s protection and at the same time take every measure to be as safe as possible.
In His Love,
Charles
