A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR

A significant visit occurred after worship Sunday. While we were holding our deacons meeting, a group of six pastors from Brazil showed up. They were in NC to establish and celebrate a shared ministry that is being begun between the Baptist State Convention of NC and the Baptist Convention of Brazil.  Their reason for stopping by CVBC had to do with a contribution our church made to the work of Baptists in Brazil over 40 years ago. That investment by our church, we were told, led to over 200 churches now in existence. We prayed together and marveled at the excitement in their testimony over what a difference our church made.

I couldn’t help but think of how a small seed planted could result in such an abundant harvest. All God asks of us is to plant the seed and let Him water the soil. It was a once more reminder that small deeds can sometimes lead to large results and to the enduring impact our church makes in ways we often don’t know.

I wish all of you could have witnessed the fullness of their gratitude, but I wanted you to be aware of it.  Well done, good and faithful church.

Brave Journey,

Bill
