Summary
An Easter Celebration service featuring special music on piano, organ, trumpet and violin with Easter message “The Real Meaning of the Empty Tomb” given by Interim Pastor Rev. Johnny Richards; including scriptures from 1 Corinthians 15:12-19; and music performed by music director Risa Poniros and pianist Cheryl Walker with guest performers.
The women had gone to the tomb to see Jesus. There were some things they wanted to do as Jesus was in the tomb. They wanted to make sure He was given the proper burial. When they arrived, the tomb was empty. He was not there. In their fear, they did not know what to do, or how to feel. Their lives came to a halt because the tomb was empty. What did it mean for them? What does the empty tomb mean for us? In today’s message, our pastor shares three things the empty tomb should mean for a follower and believer of Jesus Christ. The text is from 1 Corinthians 15:12-19.
Points to Remember:
- The empty tomb means nothing is impossible
- The empty tomb means darkness can be turned to light
- The empty tomb means emptiness can be turned into hope
