Summary
Worship service featuring the sermon “Myths About Christianity” given by Interim Pastor Rev. Johnny Richards; including scriptures from Matthew 4:18-22; and music performed by music director Risa Poniros and pianist Cheryl Walker.
The calling of God upon our lives is an important calling. We may not realize just how His calling can change our lives. It can move our lives from ordinary to extra-ordinary, just by being open to following Him. Today, our pastor begins a three week sermon series entitled “Myths About the Christian Life.” The first myth is “The Calling of God On Our Lives Is Not Important.” It is from Matthew 4:18-22 and talks about the calling of four fishermen to follow Christ.
Points:
- Jesus Sees Our Purpose Before We See Our Purpose
- Jesus Calls Ordinary People to Do Extra-ordinary Jobs
- Our Purpose of Following Christ Cannot Be Fulfilled If We Do Not Follow Him
