This coming Sunday is a special day in the life of our church. We will share in a special joint worship with our brothers and sisters of the Christ Connect Church.
Christ Connect meets every Sunday afternoon in our church fellowship hall and our relationship with them is one that is valued and cherished.
Christ Connect Church was launched in 2023 and became independent in January of this year. Their beginnings were supported by the Raleigh Baptist Association and their first gathering as in 2022. Their pastor is Rev. Glenn Plastina, a man I have come to admire and appreciate. He is a committed disciple of Jesus Christ and is focused on discipleship for those he serves. It is a privilege to share in the Kingdom’s work with this wonderful assembly of believers and one of the best ministries CVBC undertakes is providing space for this church to assemble and grow.
When we come together in worship we are reminded that we are all family and that we make up one body, one faith, one baptism. In a world that seems more and more to fall into tribalism and divisions, it is counter cultural and a witness to the world of a higher way for us to come together in what unites us in our love for Jesus Christ and each other.
I hope you will make every effort to be present this Sunday and reach out and welcome as the two congregations become one in this special time of worship.
