Many people pursue happiness as if it is a destination, something way off in the distance. But genuine happiness is right at your fingertips. Those who are happy are those who have learned how to enjoy and savor each moment of the day. The happy person knows how to appreciate a warm conversation or even an interruption in a busy schedule.

Happiness is enjoying the moment that you have not wishing or hoping for something else. Happiness is appreciating what you have, not coveting something that someone else has. Happiness is realizing how valuable your marriage is, how precious your children are, how fortunate you are to have friends who understand you.

Happiness is having a family that loves you despite your faults. Happiness is appreciating the things that God has given you. Happiness is not out there somewhere; it is right at your doorstep.

Paul, the Apostle, said (Philippians 4:11) “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.” A better description of happiness would be hard to find.

In His Love,

Charles
