A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR

William Randolph Hearst was the original media magnate. He was a newspaper publisher, a politician, and…a major art collector during the 1920’s and 30’s. On one occasion, he heard about a particular art treasure and became obsessed with possessing it. He sent his agents all over the world to find and buy it. They reported back to him when they had finally found it. It was in his own collection all the time..

And it is so often true that the most valuable things in life are already ours, we need look no farther than right in front of us. Friends and family. Our health. The relationship with Christ that perhaps began when we were just children but has been obscured over time by the cares of the world. “But we have this treasure in jars of clay…” (2 Corinthians 4:7)

Look around, look within, what treasures are yours? God is everywhere.
If only we open our eyes, our ears, our hearts.

Brave Journey,
Bill
