Generally, I will be in the office on Wednesdays by 2 pm. For my first Wednesday (August 16) I have already set up visits with our staff and look forward to getting to know each one and learning about their ministries among us!
We will begin adult Bible study and prayer meeting on Wednesday, August 16 at 6:30 pm. You are invited to join us! During our time together I will invite you to share your input regarding what would be helpful to you on Wednesday nights. In other words, how can we utilize this hour best to help you grow in your faith and equip you to serve God?
Starting on Wednesday, August 23, I would like to set up appointments to visit with you. I am thinking in terms of 30 – 45 minute “get acquainted” visits. We could meet in my office at church. I could come to your home, or we could meet for tea and coffee at a fast-food restaurant. Please contact me and let me know when we could visit. I look forward to hearing from you.
If Wednesdays aren’t convenient for you to visit with me, I could also meet with you just briefly in my office before worship or immediately after worship.
This Sunday (August 20) when you come to worship, you will find an insert in your bulletin inviting you to “Advise the Pastor” regarding sermon and scripture requests. I look forward to reading what you write!
In preparation for our time of worship on Sunday, I invite you to read Luke 4:31 – 44 as we will think together about the question, “Do you need spiritual healing?”
