In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet asks Romeo, “what’s in a name?” For most of us, our name is our title, but it does not necessarily tell who we are. During the month of June, our past will be preaching a series of messages entitled, “The Names of God”. We will be looking at the different names of God that truly tell us His character. Our scripture reader for today is Ben Best and our text is from Genesis 14:18-20 and 17:1-2.
Names of God to Remember:
El-shaddai: God Almighty. God tells Abram He is El-shaddai
El-elyon: God most high: The king blessed Abram because his God, the God most
high, was present with him during the struggles.
